USAID Project “Cybersecurity of Critical Infrastructure in Ukraine”

As part of the project, the Semyon Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University received an award for participation in the USAID project “Cybersecurity of Critical Infrastructure of Ukraine”

The economic component of the state is one of the objects of critical infrastructure, so it is very important for us to get involved in the project, which allows us to improve both theoretical and and a critical component in the training of applicants for all specialties of the university.

Historical information. In 1992, a bilateral agreement was concluded between Ukraine and USAID on humanitarian and technical and economic cooperation, which was aimed at assisting the country in realizing its economic, political, and social potential. USAID and the Government of Ukraine identified three strategic objectives: the formation of a market economy on a broad social basis, assistance in the development of a democratic political system with broad citizen participation, and assistance in reforming the social sector to mitigate the difficulties of the transition period, especially for vulnerable segments of the population. Thus began a twenty-year partnership that continues today – based on the confidence that through cooperation we will be able to build a secure and prosperous future for all citizens of Ukraine.

USAID is assisting Ukraine in building a strong financial sector that is regulated by politically and economically independent structures, uses globally recognized methods of operation, and is integrated into international standards, and also enjoys the trust of Ukrainian citizens and the investment community.
The Agency’s programs contribute to improving the business climate at the national and local levels, which provides incentives for the development of domestic and foreign trade and investment. By helping to streamline the regulatory framework that currently increases the cost of doing business in Ukraine, USAID supports the development of a competitive Ukrainian economy.
